Easily the sexiest picture from the film
Velvet Goldmine is that rarest of films..one that actually manages to convey the SEX,DRUGS,and ROCK and ROLL fecklessness of the era.
If you haven't seen it get down to your local video store and say..'I want Velvet Goldmine and I WANT IT NOW!!!!!'If you have access to a DVD player get a copy on DVD (with all the behind the scenes Mularky and Makin' Of guff)GLAMTASTIC..

I really liked this pic.it has a real 'moody' atmosphere about it..
Anybody who was 14 or over in 1972 will know what a highly charged Sexy era it was..Like the Sultans of Ping song 'Teenage Punks from Planet Sexy-Love'I remember seeing ROXY MUSIC in 1973 at Walbrook College Blackfriars LONDON.
They were bottom of the bill at our end of term Students Union Dance. What I remember most was the cost....20p!!50p if you weren't a Students Union member!!Brian Eno was wearing this huge silver Witches Hat with a full length gold lame cloak..Kitsch Ne C'est Pas??
Brian Ferry wore his leopard print 'Teddy Boy'Drape jacket silver Kex and blue suede Brothel creepers.(ask your Dad!)TRULY THE SULTANS OF COOL!!

This is the character who was based on ANGIE BOWIE..
Mandys' character resembled Bowies wife..it was spooky.I don't know if anyone has seen the Arena documentary on David Bowies farewell 'Ziggy Stardust' gig at the HAMMERSMITH ODEON London in 1972.
During various points in filming a very obviously 'stoned Angie Bowie'keeps wittering on about nothing.
She constantly refers to their wealth and name drops all over the place..DELICIOUS!!

The thing that makes V.G. such a 'classic'movie is that every single time you see it you see something that either didn't make sense the time before.
